Jim Godfrey

Jim Godfrey
Jim has been with TSS as a full service CPA for over two decades and serves as the firm’s Chief Executive Officer. He is responsible for providing accounting, tax, and consulting services to closely held companies, and not-for-profit organizations. He works extensively with automobile dealerships and related industry clients, manufacturing companies, independent school and other not-for-profit organizations, and more. He provides consulting on more complex issues including business succession strategies, buy/sell transactions, and estate planning. Jim is also responsible for the firm’s recruiting efforts. A graduate of the University of Vermont, Jim is the current treasurer of Zack’s Place – An Enrichment Center, a member of the advisory board for the Vermont Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, and former board Chair of Special Olympics Vermont.
Josh Gagne

Josh Gagne
Josh Gagne graduated Summa Cum Laude from Plymouth State University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and a minor in economics. His career started with the firm right out of college and lead to him becoming a partner in 2015. Josh is also currently the firm’s Chief Financial Officer and leads the firm’s construction niche. Feeling strongly that it is imperative to have a comprehensive understanding of his clients in order to deliver value-add in addition to compliance, Josh provides a full range of services starting at the financial statement attestation and/or business tax compliance level, and ending with the owner’s personal tax compliance. Financial statement services include audits, reviews, and compilations. Tax services include compliance, consulting, and mergers and acquisitions. Other industries of focus include manufacturing and real estate. Josh is a member of the firm’s team servicing investment partnerships and provides services to closely held businesses. Outside of the office, Josh enjoys spending his time camping, fishing, hiking, hunting, kayaking and pretty much anything and everything outdoors. Josh is a member of the AICPA and NH Society of CPAs.
Ken Goodrow

Ken Goodrow
Ken Goodrow is a 1984 graduate of Merrimack College in North Andover, MA. Ken graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Accounting. He has been working in the accounting field in both the Public and Private Accounting sectors ever since. While in the private sector he rose to become the President of a small local bank becoming, at age 30, the youngest bank president in the country. Ken has been back at TSS since 1997, and is now the Managing Partner of TSS Financial Partners, LLP. He considers himself a Jack of All Trades, but is part of the Automotive Services team, the Retirement Plan Audit Services team, does both personal and business tax returns and consulting, and anything else that needs doing. Over the years, Ken has served on a number of non-profit boards and is the current Treasurer for the Meriden Volunteer Fire Department. He and his wife, Fawn, have lived in the same fixer upper in Plainfield, NH that they bought almost 40 years ago, and yes, they are still fixing her up!
David St. Sauveur

David is a founding Member of TSS who heads the Firm’s tax department. He engages in tax compliance and planning for a diverse client base including closely held businesses, individuals, trusts, and estates. David has years of experience in business formation, business successions, estate planning and buy-sell transactions. He is a graduate of Arizona State University with a BS in accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant. David is a life-long native of the NH Upper Valley area. He is a lover of dogs, all New England sports teams, and music of all kinds. David has been a volunteer for Upper Valley youth sports teams for many years.

Virginia McGrody joined Tyler, Simms & St. Sauveur in 1997 after earning her bachelor’s degree from the University of New Hampshire. Ginny is one of the leaders in the firm’s tax department. She specializes in tax planning, preparation, and business valuation. She works with closely held businesses and high net worth individuals. She is a member of the AICPA, NH Society of CPAs, National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts, and CPAmerica. She is a Corporator for Mascoma Savings Bank and sits on the Howe Library Finance Committee. Ginny also holds her Series 7 and 66 securities licenses. Ginny lives in NH with her husband and their two kids. In her free time, she enjoys reading, hiking, gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family.

Mitchell Stagnone graduated Cum Laude from the University of New Hampshire’s Whittemore School of Business and Economics with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance. His career started with the firm in 2012 and ultimately lead to becoming partner in 2022. Mitch is one of the leaders in the firm’s automotive retail niche. He specializes in franchise and independent dealerships on audit and attest, tax planning and preparation, consulting, and mergers and acquisitions. He also works with closely held businesses and high net worth individuals. He is a member of the AICPA, NH Society of CPAs, and Auto Team America. He is involved with both NH Auto Dealers Association and NADA. He currently sits on the board of Valley Court Diversion Program and the New Hampshire Auto Dealers Association Education board. Mitch also holds his Series 7 and 66 securities licenses.

Amber McGonis
Amber joined Tyler, Simms & St. Sauveur in 2008 after earning her Bachelor’s degree from Bryant University. She is one of the leaders of our audit and accounting team and oversees all of our Yellowbook and Uniform Guidance work. Amber specializes in not-for-profit organizations, independent schools, and closely-held R&D companies. She is a member of both the AICPA and NH Society of CPAs. Amber is a native of Plainfield, NH and now lives in Lebanon with her husband, Mark, and their two daughters, Madison and Reagan.

Kyle Potter
As a member of TSS’s Assurance and Accounting team, Kyle works with a broad range of commercial and not-for-profit entities in various industries, including service providers, independent schools, manufacturing, and summer camps. Kyle also has extensive experience in audits of employee benefit plans.
Kyle joined TSS in 2011 after graduating from St. Michael’s College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He is a member of the AICPA and the NHSCPA.
Originally from Vermont, Kyle and his family reside in Grantham, New Hampshire.

Casey Villard graduated from Baruch College of the City University of New York with a Bachelor of Science in Public Accounting degree. His professional career began in New York City working for Abraham Briloff, CPA, a distinguished accounting professor at his alma mater. He then worked with Mendelsohn Kary Bell & Natoli, CPAs. In 1985, he moved to the Upper Valley with his young family and joined Foster & Bridgman, CPAs where he become a partner in 1989 and the firm name changed to Bridgman Valiante & Villard, CPAs. In 2009, the firm merged with TSS. In his 38 years of professional practice as an Upper Valley CPA he has provided services in financial reporting, tax compliance, and planning. He has enjoyed working with a broad range of businesses, non-profits, individuals, and trusts in the Upper Valley area and beyond. Casey has volunteered regularly with Everybody Wins -a VT/NH reader mentoring program in the schools and enjoys participating in and attending the many artistic offerings of the Upper Valley.

Sarah joined TSS in 2013 after graduating from college. She has focused primarily on taxation, with specialties in small business, flow-through, and state taxation. Sarah earned her Master of Science in Accounting from Siena College in Loudonville, New York. Sarah, her husband, and kids live in Cornish, New Hampshire.

Sarah Wright graduated Magna Cum Laude from Strayer University with a Master of Science degree in Accounting with a concentration in Taxation. Her career started with the firm in 2020. She specializes in personal and business income taxes and multi-state taxation. She is a member of the AICPA and NH Society of CPAs. Sarah lives in Andover, NH with her two kids. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, skiing, and spending time with family.

Lisa Gnatek joined Tyler, Simms & St. Sauveur in 2013 after working in a Big Four accounting firm for seventeen years. Lisa earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting with a Minor in Finance from Southern New Hampshire University and a Master of Science in Taxation from Bryant University. Lisa is one of the leaders in the firm’s tax department. She specializes in high net worth individual and not-for-profit tax compliance and consulting. She is a member of the AICPA and NH Society of CPAs and holds the AICPA Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) credential. She currently sits on the board of Riverstone Church. In her free time, Lisa enjoys reading, walking, and relaxing by the ocean.

He primarily works with closely held businesses and high net worth individuals, and has a particular interest in partnership tax law. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs. Greg lives in Grantham, NH and in his free time enjoys reading, practicing the cello with his son, traveling, and being outdoors.

Samantha Rancourt joined Tyler, Simms & St. Sauveur in 2014 after earning her bachelor’s degree and Master of Science in Accounting from the University of New Hampshire. Samantha specializes in audit and attestation services at the firm and works with clients in diverse industries. She is a member of the NH Society of CPAs and the AICPA. Samantha lives in the NH seacoast area with her husband and daughter and enjoys going to the beach and spending time with friends and family.

Jennifer Smith joined TSS in 2023. She earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Phoenix, graduating with honors, then went on to earn her Master of Science in Accountancy. Jenn has been working in public accounting since 2012 and became a licensed CPA in the state of Maryland in 2016. She specializes in small business tax planning, preparation, and consulting. She also works with high net worth individuals. Jenn lives in Hedgesville, WV with her son and her three dogs. In her free time, she enjoys horseback riding, reading, and spending time outdoors.

W. Jay Simms joined Tyler, Simms & St. Sauveur in 1988 and is one of the three founding partners of TSS. Jay holds a bachelor’s degree from Clarkson College. Jay specializes in tax planning, preparation, and consulting. His primary expertise is in manufacturing and non-profit organizations with specializations in health care and independent schools. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs.

Evan Cavanaugh graduated from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth with a Master of Business Administration degree. Prior to that, he received a Bachelor of Science degree from the Questrom School of Business at Boston University. His professional experience has spanned operations and strategy leadership roles, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, and growth strategy. He joined TSS in 2024 as Chief Growth Officer.
Outside of work, Evan enjoys exploring the outdoors with his family and their dogs. He sits on the Board of Directors for the Patriot Sporting Spaniel Club of New England, and he stays active in the sporting-dog community.
